Understanding Your Scar: Healing, Comfort and Care
Join Ying Liu at House of Hope for a welcoming, informative workshop exploring scars after breast cancer surgery.
Think your scar is too old for support? Scars can continue changing for two years or longer. And if your surgery was five, ten or more years ago, you are still welcome—ongoing tightness, sensitivity or concerns about movement are worth discussing. The support that may help depends on your individual scar and needs.
Whether you are preparing for surgery, waiting for scar therapy or already receiving support, this session will help you understand scar changes and explore options for care.
We will introduce silicone gels and sheets, demonstrate 6D Tape, discuss gentle scar massage and explain how individual scar therapy and home care can work together. There will be opportunities to feel product samples, share concerns anonymously and ask questions.
No one needs to show their scar or share their medical history with the group.
